Short films are a gateway to Silver screen. Bearing this in mind 8MM Media proudly launched ‘Padami – Global Short Film Contest’ in 2020. The word ‘Padami’ means camera in Tamil.

The motive behind this name coinage is to show that we are strive to strike a balance between our own roots and identity yet venturing into this modern era of changing visual content.

 We are constantly on the lookout to identify new generation visual creators who bring a new dimension to film making. We strongly believe that ‘Padami – Global Short Film Contest’ would serve as the perfect launch pad for aspiring film makers to showcase their talents to the world.
